Allergens

How do I know what is in a dish?

Every dish on the card carries its marks — vegetarian, vegan, no gluten, no dairy, contains nuts — and the kitchen keeps the full list of allergens for each one. Ask at the counter and it comes to the table.

Can the kitchen cook without gluten?

Some dishes, yes, and the card marks them. Flour is in the air of a bakery kitchen every morning, so we will not promise a plate free of every trace.

Do you cook with nuts?

Almonds and hazelnuts, in the pastry and on a few plates. Tell us about an allergy before you order and we will say plainly what is safe.

Children

Are children welcome?

At every service. High chairs are at the counter end, and there is a short card for smaller appetites.

Is there somewhere to change a baby?

Yes, in the accessible washroom on the same floor.

Dogs

Can my dog come in?

On the terrace, on a lead, with a water bowl by the door. Inside, assistance dogs only.

And when the terrace is closed?

Then it is assistance dogs only until the spring. We are sorry; the room is small.

Laptops

Can I work here?

At the counter until 11:00 and again after 14:30. Through lunch and at souper the laptops go away, so the tables can turn.

Is there wifi?

Yes. The password is on the card by the till.

Cards and paying

Do you take cards?

Debit and credit cards, phones and cash, at the till or at the table.

Is service included?

There is no service charge. Taxes (TPS/TVQ) are added at the till; a tip is yours to leave or not.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Written by hand at the counter, in any amount, with no expiry. Ask by email and we will post one.

Access

Is the café step-free?

The door on Beaubien is level with the pavement, 90 cm wide, and opens outward.

Is there an accessible washroom?

One, on the same floor, with an 85 cm door and a grab rail fitted.

Where can I park?

Free on the side street after 18:00 and all day Sunday. The 18 Beaubien bus stops at the corner.

Allergies

Tell us before you order

An allergy is a conversation at the counter, not a note on a booking. Élise or whoever is on the pass will tell you what the kitchen can change, and just as plainly what it cannot.

V Vegetarian

VG Vegan

GF No gluten

DF No dairy

N Contains nuts
